1. Post Name & Vacancy Details

2. Educational Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

Essential:

  • MBBS Degree from a recognized University/Institute
  • Registered with Medical Council of India (MCI) / State Medical Council
  • Registration must be valid and current

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 years post-qualification experience in a hospital/dispensary/institution of repute
  • Experience must be after MBBS qualification

Desirable Qualifications:

  • MD/PG Diploma in:
    • General Medicine
    • Family Medicine

3. Age Limit

4. Salary / Emoluments

Monthly Consolidated Emoluments: ₹1,05,000/- per month (all inclusive)

Additional Benefits:

5. Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

A) Medical Consultation & Treatment:

  • Provide consultation and treatment to students, staff, and residents of IIM Mumbai
  • Prescribe medicines considering patient's symptoms and medical history
  • Investigate, diagnose and treat health conditions of patients
  • Handle any emergency medical situation

B) OPD Management:

  • Maintain OPD hours: 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM on working days
  • Ensure availability beyond normal hours including:
    • Evenings
    • Weekends
    • Holidays
  • Attend emergencies on call (24x7 availability required)

C) Documentation & Records:

  • Maintain all medical records properly
  • Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications, and transactions as per Institute policies
  • Verify medical reimbursement claims submitted by employees
  • Evaluate medical bills and approve as per Institute policy

D) Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medical examination for pre-employment screening
  • Assist in empanelment of hospitals and pharmacies
  • Help Institute in identifying hospitals for annual health check-up of employees
  • Oversee the pharmacy and suggest improvements
  • Involve in purchase of bulk drugs

E) Preventive Healthcare:

  • Plan and implement health-related sessions for IIM Mumbai community
  • Take necessary steps to make campus illness-free in collaboration with Institute management
  • Organize health awareness programs

F) Emergency Management:

  • Handle emergency medical situations
  • Be available on call for emergencies
  • Coordinate with external hospitals when required
